Romin Zuberi Hindi: रोमिन ज़ुबैरी Urdu: رومن زبیری (born 8 July 1995) is an Indian singer whose songs have been featured in Hindi cover albums. He was born and brought up in Meerut (Uttar Pradesh, India). He completed his schooling from Dewan Public School, Meerut, and got 90% marks in class 12th overall. He got the highest marks in music in India. He is pursuing Engineering in Computer Science. He has written a novel that has not been released yet. ==Childhood and family history== His father Dr. Kamran H Zuberi is a senior journalist with national and international media, his mother is Dr. Huma Zuberi is a social activist. Romin Zuberi is best known for cover of Mohammed Rafi songs and Tum Hi Ho song from Aashiqui 2. He started his modelling career in 1996. His photo has been published in children's alphabets book as "B" for "boy". His calendar was published in 2001 by a leading publication of western Uttar Pradesh. His several interviews and articles were published in leading newspapers. Zuberi is famous in his hometown for professional playback singing and classical songs. He is a leading playback singer and has sung songs in many languages other than Hindi, like English, Urdu. He began singing when he was only five years of age. He began with mostly singing Mohammed Rafi's songs stage performances. Romin inherited music from his grandfather Prof. Dr. F.H Zuberi who completed three year degree in Vocal and Classical Violin from Sangeet Samaaj Meerut in the 1950s. His grandfather Prof. Dr. F.H Zuberi is retired from the post of Head of the department (Physics) from D.N. Degree College Meerut. Romin's father knows to play Harmonium, flute and he sings. Romin's grandfather invented India's first tape recorder in the 1950s for which he got prize from the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. His name was published in the science magazine which was published from the Prime Minister's Office named ''Our Scientists of Tomorrow''. Romin's father invented the world's first electronic compass in 1980s for which he was awarded by different government organisations. Romin's mother Dr. Huma Zuberi has also completed Visharad and Prabhakar in Vocal Classical Music. Romin took part in different music contests in his growing up years and got laurels in state and national level competitions. When 16, He shifted base to Delhi to pursue his singing career seriously.
